Hallo !

Hello Dmitry,

I do not invest in Trustbuddy, because there you can not choose in which loans you want to invest. You have to transfer money and Trustbuddy will decide in which loans they invest your money. You became an fixed interest rate. It was 12% p.a. recently. Trustbuddy have no transparency. So I do not plan to invest in Trustbuddy.

You can try Mintos in Latvia. But be careful because they are not not yet regulated in their country.

In this year a few new Platforms will start. So if you wait maybe there are any interesting Platforms.

    Hi Andreas,

    Thank you for the answer.

I am really impressed with your return rates but that´s a top league for me :-). This skill has to be mastered so meanwhile having hedged sth at a rate of 10% without the need to follow up sounds good enough for me. So most probably I will put sth there and will share my results.

Thanks for pointing to Mintos. So far browsing around there are only good references about them. At the same time they are very young so track record is not very proven.

In general my main doubt is the number of p2p services in Baltic countries and their high interest rates. It is great from one side, from another not sure why there they are growing like mushrooms after a rain but in the rest of the Europe it is not that active (especially for foreign investors). Well, it is also true that UK is very active. So maybe it is due to their „open“ mind and good tech community (but one can say the say about Germany :-)).
If you can share your opinion on this topic would be great as based on your portfolio your main focus are these Baltic region platforms.

FYI. In your last two tables you have a copy-paste typo in the column name: it talks about March while should be April I guess.

It would be great if you can share your results in the future with Trustbuddy and contact me. Maybe I can write an article about your experience with Trustbuddy.

Yes, in the baltics countries there are many p2p services. If they dont expand abroad they will not grow.
I think the interest rates in the baltics will not stay so high in the next years. The interest rates already fallen.
At Bondora it is very difficult to get a good Estonian loan with high interest rates.

For me it is there are 3 main risks to invest in P2P services. First the geopolitical situation in the country of the services. This risk is actual a little bit increased because we now the situation with russia that the countries are near russia.
The second risk is the Platform risk. Several factors play a role. The age of the service, the total amount they lent.
The third risk is the regulation in the country that thay lend. In Latvia and Lithuania this risk is very high. In Lithuania they close some P2P Platforms because of the regulation.
So 12% interest rate is not the same in every country when you calculate the risks.

I think the rest of Europe is not that active for foreign investors because the interest rates there are much lower as in the Baltics. The interest is not so high from foreign investors. In German Platforms at best you can earn only 4-6% before taxes. It is even possible to have an negative return because of the low interest rates.

The time will tell if p2p lending will grow in full Europa or only in UK so strongly.
